Tamim, Mominul seek help from Salahuddin
For many Bangladesh players, Salahuddin is their last resort.
Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Haque - both have been going through a rough phase in recent times. Mominul has seen his average drop down below 40 for the first in his career and Tamim has found it tough to get going since he returned to international cricket after taking a break. And thus, both of them have sought help from Mohammad Salahuddin.
For many Bangladesh players, Salahuddin is their last resort. The list includes players like Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim and Mominul. Shakib had previously worked with Salahuddin personally to improve his game and this time around, Tamim and Mominul are trying to get their form back.
Tamim had scored a brilliant unbeaten 334 in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) before touring Pakistan. But in the first Test, Tamim only managed to score 37 runs in the two innings. On the other hand, Mominul got starts in both innings but threw it away.

Mominul is under extra pressure since he has been handed the captaincy after Shakib's ban by the ICC. Mominul's captaincy got off to a horrendous start as he only managed 44 runs in two Tests, including a pair in the second Test against India.
Despite being ill, Salahuddin arrived at Mirpur to his disciples' aid and worked with them for almost three hours. Bangladesh's practice for their one-off Test against Zimbabwe starts on 18th February. But Tamim and Mominul are trying hard to regain their form and are utilising the optional practice session with Salahuddin.
Salahuddin instructed Tamim throughout the hours and corrected his shots. After Tamim, he advised Mominul on his batting.
Salahuddin also talked to Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo about Tamim and Mominul and talked to the South African about which areas of their batting needed working on.
Both Tamim and Mominul will work with Salahuddin on 16th and 17th February before the official practice session of the national side commences.
Other than these two, Mohammad Mithun also worked with Salahuddin whereas Al-Amin Hossain worked with newly-appointed Bangladesh national team coach Ottis Gibson.
