Tigresses clinch cliffhanger to level series

Bangladesh Women's team clinched a cliffhanger against Pakistan Women's team by one wicket to level the series in the second match at Lahore.
Batting first, Pakistan Women's bundled out for 210 as Rumana Ahmed picked up three wickets. In reply, Bangladesh Women's took the match to the final over and managed to win the game by a wicket as Fargana Haque top-scored with 67.
Winning the toss, Pakistan Women's skipper Bismah Maroof decided to bat first. They had a good opening partnership of 58 before another good stand for the second wicket of 47. But after the fall of the second wicket, the Pakistani females lost wickets on a regular basis and bundled out for only 210.
Bangladesh skipper Rumana picked up three wickets for the Tigresses, whereas Salma Khatun picked up a couple. Panna Ghosh picked up one wicket and the other four wickets were run-outs. Nahida Khan top-scored for Pakistan with 63 runs and Aliya Riaz scored 36.
In reply, Bangladesh Women's lost their first wicket when Sharmin Sultana went back for 27. Nigar Sultana went back for a duck, but Murshida Khatun and Fargana put up an 82-run stand to steady the ship. Murshida went back for 44, but Fargana put up another good stand of 57 runs with her captain before Rumana went back for 31. Bangladesh Women's then lost wickets in a flurry but somehow managed to win with a ball and a wicket to spare.
Fargana top-scored for Bangladesh with 67 with Murshida and Rumana scoring 44 and 31 each. Syeda Aroob Shah and Bismah Maroof picked up a couple of wickets each with Nashra Sandhu, Sana Mir and Diana Baig picking up a wicket each.
Bangladesh Women's had lost their first match of the series by 29 runs and had earlier lost the T20 series by a margin of 3-0.
