Myanmar army fires UN ambassador after anti-army speech

The military rulers of Myanmar say that they fired the country's ambassador to the United Nations after he urged nations to help remove the army from power.
Kyaw Moe Tun said in an emotional speech that no one can work with the military before it gives power back to the democratically elected government, reports the BBC.
On Saturday, security forces strengthened their hold on anti-coup demonstrators. Local media say hundreds have been arrested, and in the city of Monwya, and a woman was wounded.
