2 Bangladeshis killed in Saudi road crash
Three other Bangladeshis were also injured in the accident
Two men from Narayanganj died in a road accident in Saudi Arabia on Friday. Three other Bangladeshi nationals were also injured in the accident.
The deceased are Sazzad Ahmed Saju, 26, and Mezbah Uddin Fahim, 24, and the injured are Matiur, 30, Hanifa, 24, and Selim, 34.
Ovibashi Karmi Unnayan Program's Narayanganj branch Field Officer Md Aminul Haque said, "If any Bangladeshi dies in an accident while working as an expatriate, the government of Bangladesh will pay a compensation of Tk3 lakh.
"We maintain regular communication with the government so that the deceased's families can get the compensation on time. We also maintain contact with the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment for bringing back the dead bodies as soon as possible."
"In the case of the two dead youths, we are contacting their families and trying to provide as much help as we can," he added.
