Ashraful Haq becomes Special Trustee of EEDC

Ashraful Haq Chowdhury has been appointed as the Special Trustee and representative of Bangladesh to the European Economic Development Council (EEDC), one of the world's leading development agencies, with effect from 1 January 2021.
Ashraf, an expert in trade, investment, and telecommunications sector for the past 32 years, is currently managing director of Star Infrastructure Consortium and a director of Bank Asia, Bangladesh, according to a press release on Sunday.
Headquartered in Madrid, EEDC is a non-bureaucratic, non-political, non-governmental international organization, dedicated to devising faster solutions for public and private sector needs and to funding development for socio-economic and industrial growth.

EEDC's operational activities with specific mandates cover almost all countries of the world, including Latin, South and Central America, Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Central, East and South East Asia and the Pacific Rim.
With the appointment of Ashraf, EEDC now covers Bangladesh as a country of focus by virtue of its constant socio-economic and industrial growth.
