Murder attempt on Sarwar: Driver, guard remanded
Police are looking for former driver Nazmul who allegedly planned the attack
The driver and security guard have been taken to police custody for quizzing in an attempt to murder case of Sarwar Ali.
A Dhaka court granted police two day each for security guard Hasan and driver Hafizul Islam on Tuesday.
On Sunday night, miscreants attempted to kill Liberation War Museum Trustee Dr Sarwar Ali after entering his Uttara residence.

Sarwar subsequently filed a case regarding the incident with Uttara West Police Station against the two attackers and four to five unidentified people.
Police arrested two Hasan and Hafizul in connection with the attempted murder on Monday.
Tapan Kumar Saha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station, produced the arrestees before the court and plead for seven-day remand.
The miscreants on that night also tried to kill Sarwar's wife Makhduma Nargis, daughter Sayma Ali and son-in-law Humayun Kabir. Two of his neighbors who stepped in to save them were also stabbed.
The attackers fled the scene after his neighbours came to rescue them. Sarwar Ali suspected that militants might have carried out the attack.
Police seized seven machetes, a mobile phone set, an electric water heater, chemical spray and synthetic rope left behind by the criminals.
The mobile phone belongs to Sarwar Ali's ex-driver Nazmul. The OC said that the former driver is the main suspect. He plotted the attack
Police were conducting drives to hold him.
