The former principal of Feni's Sonagazi Islamia Madrasa Siraj-ud-Dowla and three other convicts challenged the death penalty awarded in student Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.
The convicts including Nur Uddin, Zabed Hossain and Umme Sultana Popy filed the appeals before the High Court today seeking acquittal.
On October 24, Judge Mamunur Rashid of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal sentenced 16 persons to death for killing Nusrat by setting her on fire.
