6th Ruqayyah Bitarka Utsob 2025 concludes with award ceremony
The two-day "6th Ruqayyah Bitarka Utsob -2025" concluded with a grand award ceremony held at the 7 March Hall of Rokeya Hall, University of Dhaka. The event celebrated the debating talents of students from across the country.
The festival began on January 17, 2025, featuring 32 teams. After rigorous rounds, the Palli Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall Debating Club emerged as the champions, defeating the Bijoy Ekkator Hall Debating Club in the final.
Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, attended as the chief guest, commending the organizers and participants for their efforts in promoting intellectual discourse. The event was organized by the Ruqayyah Hall Debating Organization, Ruqayyah Bitarka Angan, and chaired by Maisha Malihar, President of Rokeya Debate Angon.

Distinguished speakers, including Professor Dr. Mohammad Azam, Director-General of the Bangla Academy, and Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Provost of Ruqayyah Hall, were present. Special guests Hassan O. Rashid, Managing Director & CEO of Prime Bank PLC, and K.S.M. Swapnil Chowdhury Sohag, Managing Director of Blue Dream Group, also graced the event.
Vice-Chancellor praised the festival's role in fostering rational thought and unveiled the inaugural issue of Padmarag magazine, published by Ruqayyah Bitarka Angan.
