Ershad’s son gets ‘threats’

A lawsuit has been filed with Gulshan Police station as Eric Ershad, son of Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, receives messages containing threat.

According to the GD, Shahata Zarar Ershad Eric received threatening messages on his mobile phone from unidentified persons.
Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Commissioner of police (Gulshan zone), told the press that they were looking into the matter.
The JP Chief is currently undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
Eric is Ershad's son from his second wife Bidisha Ershad. After his separation with Bidisha in 2005, he was embroiled in a legal battle to take custody of the child with special needs.
