Former Jatrabari Police Station OC Mazhar sent to jail
Mazhar was arrested on 17 September in connection with a case filed over killing a madrasha student during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement

A Dhaka court today (25 September) sent former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station Inspector Mazharul Islam to jail.
Mazhar was arrested on 17 September in connection with a case filed over killing a madrasha student during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain passed the order as Mazhar was produced before the court upon completion of his five days remand.

Madras student Arif, suffered critical bullet wounds in his eye on 19 July at Kutubkhali area under Jatrabari thana area. As he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on-duty doctors pronounced him dead.
Arif's father Md Yusuf filed the murder case with Jatrabari Police Station to this end.
