2 die of cold complications in Khulna, families advised home quarantine
Doctors could not confirm whether they were infected with coronavirus as the hospital has no corona testing facilities
Two patients have died in Khulna hospitals from various cold related complications and their family members have been asked to stay in home quarantine.
The deceased are from Bagerhat and Narail districts.
Confirming the matter, Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) Director ATM Manzur Morshed said, "One victim from Bagerhat's Mongla was admitted to the hospital on last Thursday with breathing problem, cough and fever. He died hours after admission in the hospital."
"Another patient from Narail got admitted to a local clinic with the same health issues. He was being shifted to KMCH as his condition deteriorated. Later he died on the way to KMCH."
Doctors could not confirm whether they were infected with coronavirus as the hospital has no corona testing facilities, said sources in the hospital. However, family members of both patients have been asked to stay in home quarantine.
"Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts have been informed about the matter," Manzur added.
