Hotline '333' to be launched to combat food adulteration
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) is going to launch hotline '333' on November 7 to receive complaints from consumers regarding adulterated food.
"Any problem related to food adulteration, production, storage, marketing can be reported by calling to the number. Based on the complaint, the authorities will take legal action as soon as possible," BFSA Chairman Syeda Sarwar Jahan told The Business Standard.
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority has been formed under the Food Safety Act 2013 to prevent food adulteration.
The organisation is working for ensuring food safety.
The hotline is currently operating under the 'AUTI' project of the government.
