Metro rail to begin operations on Fridays soon
“Discussions are ongoing and the date will be announced soon,” Managing Director of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) MAN Siddique told The Business Standard while mentioning that operations will begin from 3pm on Fridays
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) is set to launch metro rail services on Fridays soon.
"Discussions are ongoing and the date will be announced soon," DMTCL Managing Director MAN Siddique told The Business Standard yesterday.
He also said operations will begin from 3pm on Fridays.
"We have to set aside a slot for the maintenance work of Metro Rail every week, which is why the operations will begin at 3pm on Fridays," he added.
Also, regarding the Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations he said, efforts are underway to open the two stations as soon as possible.
DMTCL sources said that instructions have already been issued for preparing duty rosters for station controllers, train operators, and other staff for Fridays.
