Mother, daughter burned dead in Cumilla fire
The deceased were identified as Saleha Begum, 35, wife of Mohammad Ali, a Kuwaiti expatriate from the village and their daughter Farzana Akter, 10, a fourth class student of Velanagar Government Primary School.

A woman and her daughter were burned to death in a fire that broke out at their house at Velanagar village of Elliotganj North Union of Cumilla's Daudkandi upazila around 11pm on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Saleha Begum, 35, wife of Mohammad Ali, a Kuwaiti expatriate from the village and their daughter Farzana Akter, 10, a fourth class student of Velanagar Government Primary School.
Confirming the incident, Daudkandi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Md Nazrul Islam, said, "We have visited the scene. The woman along with her daughter were burned to death in fire."

The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, said the OC adding that they are investigating the incident.
