The City Group is observing the first death anniversary of its founder Fazlur Rahman.
"One year has gone since the passing of Fazlur Rahman, the visionary founder of City Group," the company said in a press statement today (24 December).
"Beginning with mustard oil production in 1972, he transformed the company into a business empire with over 40 enterprises. Today, City Group provides employment to 25,000 people and generates an annual turnover of $2.3 billion," it added.

Under his leadership, the company extended its reach globally, exporting products to markets including the United States and China.
