Over 50 shanties gutted in Mirpur slum fire
Over 50 shanties were gutted as a fire broke out in Kalshi B-block slum of capital's Mirpur area early Wednesday.
According to information of fire service control room source, the fire broke out around 2:10am.
On information, 12 firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3:10am.
Over 50 shanties were gutted in the fire, according to the source.
The reason behind the fire could not be known yet.
Three fire incidents took place in the capital in this week.
More than 50 shanties were burned to ashes in a fire that broke out at Sattola slum in the capital's Mohakhali area on Monday night.
Besides, another fire was broke out in a building at T&T Colony in front of Banani Ansar Camp in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
