Jamaat demands to prepare complete list of July-August revolution's martyrs
Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded to prepare the complete list of martyrs of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Speaking at a view-exchange meeting with injured and martyr families in Dhaka today (16 November), the party's central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit's Ameer Mohammed Selim Uddin urged the government to immediately announce the martyrs as national heroes and to rehabilitate the injured with proper treatment.
"The martyrs sacrificed themselves for the sake of building a discrimination-free country. Their sacrifice is incomparable," he said.
KTV-24 organized the meeting, with its chairman, Sayed Masuk, presiding over the discussion session.
The city Ameer alleged that Awami League conducted a series of repression on Jamaat activists.
He called upon the government to hold Awami League perpetrators accountable and ensure justice.
He urged everyone irrespective of parties and opinions to work together to materialise the dream of student-people mass movement.
Major (retd) Muhammad Imran, Jamaat Dhaka City North unit's media and publicity secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, comrade Siddiqur Rahman, Mustafa Kamal, student leader Anisur Rahman, Zubayer Siddique among others spoke at the meeting.
