Regarding past crimes, he said, "There was anarchy for 15 years. Every murder committed in those 15 years will be prosecuted; otherwise, holding this position is meaningless."

Proper enforcement of the law will help reduce mob violence, said Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul today (11 February).
"If we do our job correctly, mob rule will decrease. Everyone must act responsibly," he said at a workshop on law enforcement, human rights, and environmental concerns held at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh.
Asif highlighted the challenges faced after assuming responsibility, stating, "The fallen fascists are spending billions now to destabilise the country."
He urged caution to the courts in granting bail, saying, "No one should be denied bail if they are eligible, but at the same time, bail should not be granted recklessly.
"We must ensure that no one secures bail only to create unrest in the country."
Addressing past crimes, the law adviser emphasised the need for accountability, saying, "There was anarchy for 15 years. Every murder committed in those 15 years will be prosecuted; otherwise, holding this position is meaningless."
