RAB man killed in Rangpur road crash

A Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) member was killed in a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a truck in Rangpur
The deceased was identified as SM Raju Ahmed, a sub-inspector of Rangpur RAB-13.
The incident took place around 11:30 pm on Sunday (October 11) in Garermatha area of Mithapukur upazila on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway.

"SI Raju Ahmed was returning to Rangpur on a motorcycle after work when a truck from the opposite direction hit his motorcycle," said Zakir Hossain, investigation officer of Mithapukur Police Station.
"He was rushed to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, where the on-duty doctor pronounced him dead. The body was later shifted to the hospital's morgue for autopsy."
Zakir Hossain further added that the driver of the truck was detained and a case has been filed against the driver and helper.
