Three Huji members detained in Khilkhet
A case was filed against Atikullah under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Khilkhet Police Station
A team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained three members of an Islamic outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (Huji) from capital's Khilkhet last night.
The detainees are Huji leader Atikullah alias Asadullah alias Zulfikar, 49, his two aides Mohammad Nazim Uddin alias Shamim, 45, and Borhan Uddin Rabbani, 42.
A case was filed against Atikullah under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Khilkhet Police Station, said Saiful islam, deputy commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit.
Atikullah was trying to organise the Islamic outfit from Saudi Arabia for a long time. However, he came to Bangladesh in March this year.
