What causing traffic congestion in Banglamotor area
A huge traffic congestion is created surrounding Karwan Bazar and Banglamotor areas today putting the city dwellers in immense sufferings on the first day of Falgun here.
The cause of the jam is a barricade, which has been set up in Banglamotor intersection due to the construction work of the metro rail.
Refatul Islam, assistant commissioner of Ramna traffic zone, said, "The metro rail project work is now at final stages. The road space has to be occupied to keep the construction materials."

Apart from this, the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) will also work on the left lane from Sonargaon Hotel to Banglamotor. As a result, the road will remain closed for about a month, traffic congestion may increase on the route for this, the assistant commissioner added.
