Travel ban imposed on ex-MP Shekhor, wife over graft allegations

A Dhaka court today (15 October) imposed a travel ban on former Magura-1 lawmaker Saifuzzaman Shekhor and his wife Sima Rahman over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Zaglul Hossain passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) assistant director Md Ismail.
According to the case documents, the anti-graft body is probing allegations of amassing of huge illegal wealth in his and his family members' names through corruption. It is learned that the accused are trying to escape the country to evade justice.
