Agrani Exchange House sets up ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ in Singapore
It is the first Bangabandhu Corner set-up by a financial institution outside the country
Agrani Exchange House Private Limited, Singapore recently set-up a Bangabandhu Corner as part of its birth centenary celebrations of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangladesh's High Commissioner to Singapore Md Tauhidul Islam, NDC inaugurated Bangabandhu Corner on 16 March, according to a press release on Thursday.
It is the first time that a financial institution has set up a Bangabandhu Corner outside the country, it added.
Md Shams-ul-Islam, managing director and CEO of Agrani Bank Ltd, and Rubana Parveen, chief deputy general manager, Foreign Remittance Division virtually joined the inaugural function from Bangladesh.
Besides, Ahmed Hossain Bhuiyan, first secretary of Labour Wing of Bangladesh High Commission; Md Zahirul Islam, president of Singapore-Bangladesh Society and Emdad Hossain, secretary; Professor Dr MA Rahim, freedom fighter and president of Bangladesh Chamber Singapore, and Md Sabbir Hossain, secretary; ASM Shariful Islam, director and CEO of Agrani Exchange House, and Nesar Ahmed Mishuk were present at the event among others.
