The Westin Dhaka launches festival for Middle Eastern food
The dinner only event would end on March 26
The Westin Dhaka launched a festival for Middle Eastern and Turkish meals on March 16. The festival is going on at Seasonal Tastes restaurant of the five-star hotel and would continue till March 26, said a press release.
The festival is a dinner only event and the buffet dinner is priced at Tk6,000 per person. Brac Bank Ltd is the prime partner of the festival while ABC Radio is the radio partner.
In the culinary festival, food lovers would find dishes and desserts from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and more, thanks to master chef Mehmet Tuncel and his team.

During the festival, the delicacies in buffets include lamb ouzi, samka harra, tabbouleh and kibbeh labanieh. Assorted Middle Eastern sweets such as baklava, kunafa, basbousa and umm ali also adorn the dessert spread.
On March 16, Mohd Noor Ali, managing director of Unique Group, Daniel Muhor, general manager of The Westin Dhaka, Sheikh Md Ashfaque, head of branches at Brac Bank Ltd, Abu Sayem Ansari, head of premium banking at Brac Bank Ltd and Hussain Ghuloom Hussain, country manager of Gulf Air cut the ribbon to launch the food festival.
Other high officials from Brac Bank Ltd, Gulf Air, ABC Radio and The Westin Dhaka were also present at the ceremony.
