2 AL leaders die of Covid-19 in Cumilla

Two Awami League (AL) leaders in Cumilla died from Covid-19 infection on Wednesday.
The deceased are Abul Bashar, 64, a finance secretary of the city's ward no-15 AL and Md Atiqur Rahman Zahangir, cultural affairs secretary of Brahmanpara upazila AL.
General secretary of ward no-15 AL Kamal Hossain said, "Abul Bashar tested positive for the virus on Wednesday. He was taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital at around 9:30 pm as he was feeling sick. He breathed his last there at around 10:30 pm."

"He was an expatriate in Dubai. Bashar returned to Bangladesh two months ago. He was a resident of Puraton Moulvipara area of the town," Kamal added.
Member of Cumilla (south) district AL Abdus Salam Beig said, "Md Atiqur Rahman Zahangir breathed his last at a hospital in Dhaka Wednesday evening."
