2 wards of Darshana municipality in Chuadanga declared Covid-19 red zones
DC Nazrul Islam said, “The directive will be effective from Tuesday morning. Relief and assistance will be provided to the people in need.”
The Coronavirus Prevention Committee of Chuadanga district has declared wards no 5 and 7 of its Darshana municipality as novel coronavirus red zones.
The committee took the decision at a meeting held in a conference room of the Chuadanga deputy commissioner's office on Monday at noon.
Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Tareq, district Civil Surgeon ASM Maruf Hasan, municipality Mayor Obaidur Rahman, Captain of Bangladesh Army Shah Md Marjan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sadar upazila Sadikur Rahman, the UNO of Damurhuda upazila, and other government officials were present at the meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chuadanga district Nazrul Islam Sarkar.

Currently 21 people, including 15 police officials, have contracted the novel coronavirus in the Darshana Municipality area and that is why these areas have been declared red zones.
