Bogura RDA director general dies of Covid-19
He was shifted to the ICU of RMCH on July 29 as his condition deteriorated
Md Aminul Islam, director general of Bogura Rural Development Academy (RDA), died from coronavirus at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Saturday.
He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital at around 9.30 am.
Abdullah Al Mamun, director of the RDA's agricultural science department confirmed to The Business Standard.
Aminul Islam was found coronavirus positive on June 23. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of RMCH on July 29.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
In his long career, Aminul Islam served as additional divisional commissioner of Rajshahi, director of Local Government Department of Rajshahi division, deputy secretary to Food Ministry and deputy commissioner of Sirajganj district.
He served as the Deputy Commissioner of Sirajganj for more than three years. He joined as DG of Bogura RDA on February 6, 2019.
