Health ministry gives 13 directives to govt officials to prevent to spread of Covid-19
Employees must use surgical masks or 3 layered face masks that fully covers their mouth and ears; surgical masks can be used once while cloth masks can be re-used several times after cleaning with soap
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has provided 13 directives for government officials to help curb the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The directives are: the Ministry of Public Works can be directed to set up necessary amounts of disinfection tunnels; all office complexes must be dis-infected before re-opening; thermal scanners must be placed at the entrances of each ministry or department to scan the body temperatures of employees before entering the workplace; all office vehicles must be dis-infected before use and each passenger must sit 3 foot away from one another to maintain social distance in the vehicle; the employees must use surgical masks or 3 layered face masks that fully covers their mouth and ears; surgical masks can be used once while cloth masks can be re-used several times after cleaning with soap; employees must regularly sanitize their hands before boarding the vehicles and while traveling as well; the employees must maintain a minimum social distance of 3 ft while having meals at the office; employees must sanitize their hands every time after using the toilet; the employees must wear masks while working in their work places and must regularly wash their hands with soap and water; the employees must maintain social distance while working in the workplace; proper monitoring must be there to ensure that the employees are following all the health protocols provided to curb the spread of the virus; steps must be taken to hang up the directives on the office walls and proper measures of isolation must be ensured in the office spaces to help isolate an employee if found sick inside the office compound.
The directives were provided via a government notice issued on Tuesday.
