PMO preserves premier’s instructions on Covid to deal with future epidemic
Between January and June this year, various divisions and ministries issued instructions amounting to 1,976 pages following the prime minister’s directives to control the Covid-19 outbreak in the country
The prime minister's office has taken steps to preserve all the instructions given by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to stem the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Between January and June this year, various divisions and ministries issued instructions amounting to 1,976 pages following the prime minister's directives to control the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.
The PMO has taken this step to preserve these guidelines, thinking of dealing with disasters like the coronavirus epidemic in the future. These instructions have been stored in 5 volumes in book form.
The preservation was made under the supervision of PMO Secretary Md Tofajjal Hossain Miah.
He said the prime minister is keeping a close watch on every issue and is constantly giving various instructions accordingly.
An idea of the prime minister's hard work amid the risk of coronavirus infection could be gained from the instructions issued by the divisions and ministries.
The government's experience on combating Covid-19 outbreak will be of help in the future. That's why the step has been taken, Tofajjal added.
The prime minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working round the clock to save people's lives and livelihood. "She is monitoring every aspect, every moment and giving guidelines accordingly while maintaining health guidelines by herself," said Ihsanul.
Apart from the guidelines, the prime minister has declared 21 stimulus packages of Tk1,12,633 crore till now to save lives and livelihood, the press secretary added.
