Rangpur Medical College tests 95 samples of coronavirus suspects on Wednesday
The lab tested a total of 1,759 samples. Of them, 55 came out positive
Rangpur Medical College PCR laboratory is testing samples of 95 coronavirus suspects today (Wednesday).
Dr AKM Noor-un-Nabi Laiju, Principal of Rangpur Medical College, said, "The PCR lab has started the testing of 95 samples from 10am on Wednesday and the results will be published in the afternoon."
"However, the number of Covid-19 patients in Rangpur division is increasing," the principal added.
The lab started testing for Covid-19 on April 3 with 42 samples.
The lab tested a total of 1,759 samples. Of them, 55 came out positive.
The 55 patients are from Pirganj in Haripur of Thakurgaon, Gobindoganj of Gaibandha, Dilma of Nilphamari and Lalmonirhat. One of them is 57 years old. Most of the patients are aged between 17-31 years.
