TCB to sell potatoes at Tk40 per kg from tomorrow!

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh will sell potatoes at Tk40 per kg, which is Tk30-40 less than the market price, from tomorrow (20 November) under its open market sales programme.

It is said trade adviser Sheikh Bashiruddin will inaugurate this programme of selling potatoes from the TCB building at 9:30am.
The statement said TCB products - edible oil and pulse - are being sold at affordable prices to one crore low-income cardholder families as per the instructions of the Ministry of Commerce.
Besides, TCB is also selling subsidised goods - oil, lentils, rice - through 50 trucks in Dhaka and 20 in Chattogram.
From now on, TCB will also sell potatoes, the statement added.
Under its programme, TCB sales of edible oil will be available at Tk100, lentils at Tk60 and rice at Tk30 per litre.
A customer can purchase a maximum of 2 litres of oil, 2kgs of lentils and 5kgs of rice.
