NCC Bank distributes agricultural materials and machinery in Anwara, Chattogram
NCC Bank recently distributed agricultural materials and machinery free of cost to 500 marginal mustard farmers in Anwara Upazila, Chattogram, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to boost agricultural production.
The distribution ceremony was graced by Syed Asif Nizamuddin, Director of NCC Bank, who attended as the chief guest. He handed over mustard and vegetable seeds along with backpack sprayers to the farmers. Md. Monirul Alam, Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary of NCC Bank, presided over the event, while Ramzan Ali, Anwara Upazila Agricultural Officer, attended as a special guest.
Other attendees included Ali Tarek Parvez, EVP and Regional Head of Chattogram, S. M. Moin Uddin Azad, Manager of Anwara Branch, and prominent local figures.
In his address, Syed Asif Nizamuddin highlighted NCC Bank's commitment to ensuring the country's food security. He mentioned that the bank supports marginal farmers by providing agricultural materials and machinery nationwide. This initiative aims to help farmers cultivate mustard and other crops, increasing agricultural production.
He also announced plans to support farmers with onion preservation facilities and promote vegetable cultivation in districts like Faridpur, Rajbari, Kushtia, and Pabna.
