NBFIs ask finance minister for policy support
A representative team of NBFI leaders made the request during a visit to his office on Monday
A representative team comprised of non-bank financial institution (NBFI) leaders have asked Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal for policy support to help develop the sector.
The chairmen and managing directors of the NBFIs made the request during a visit to his office on Monday, according to a press release.
They spoke about the contributions of non-bank financial institutions to the economy and asked for policy support from the government to further develop this sector.

Finance Minister Kamal advised them to restructure weak institutions, introduce good governance, new products and services, and improve customer service by collaborating with all stakeholders of the sector. He also promised that the government would help them achieve these goals.
Senior Secretary of the Finance Division Md Asadul Islam was also present during the meeting.
