Beximco Limited incurred a loss of Tk356 crore in the first half of the current fiscal year 2024-25, according to its financial statement filed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.

At the end of the first half, its loss per share stood at Tk3.78.

Its share has remained stuck on the floor price at Tk110.10 since 2022 on the Dhaka bourse.
Meanwhile, in the October-December quarter, its revenue fell by 87% to Tk115 crore and the company incurred a loss of Tk246 crore.
Beximco in its report said during the period the production of the company was almost shut down due to the non-availability of banking facilities.
No banks issued any LCs (letters of credit) from August onwards, the report said, adding that stocks of unusable fabrics and yarns had to be sold below cost price, as garment factories were also closed.
