The consolidated losses of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) narrowed in the first half - July to December 2024 - of the current fiscal year 2024-25.
During the period, ICB, the state-owned non-bank financial institution, incurred a loss of Tk117.55 crore, with loss per share of Tk1.36, according to data disclosed by the company after a board meeting today (29 January).
In the same period of the previous fiscal year, its consolidated net loss was at Tk211.33 crore, with a loss per share of Tk2.44.
Meanwhile, ICB's consolidated net loss for the October-December quarter was Tk42.26 crore, with a loss per share of Tk0.49.
In contrast, during the same quarter of the previous year, the institution recorded a profit of Tk25.19 crore, and its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk0.29.
