Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch acts as the new 007
James Bond has officially retired and the famous “007” license has been reassigned to an agent who is both female and black.
The actress who will become the new 007 is none other than the Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch, states The Daily Mail.
According to the report, Bond has quit secret agent service and has retired in the tropical beauty of Jamaica when he is called out of the blue to fight against a new villain.
James Bond finds out from spymaster M, played by Ralph Fiennes that his 007 codename has been handed over to another agent.
“There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says, “Come in 007”, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman,” the source said. “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007.”
Daniel Craig who has been part of the franchise for a long time announced in 2018 that the 25th James Bond movie will be his last.
Writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge gets credit for the new development; she has banned the term 'Bond girl' in favour of 'Bond women.'

Twitterati blamed the political agenda and feminists for the portrayal of Lashana Lynch as 007.
Lashana Lynch, 31, shot to fame last year as pilot Maria Rambeau in Captain America. Bond 25 also co-stars Oscar winner Rami Malek as the villain, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann in the last film.
