During the coronavirus outbreak, people from different walks of life and profession are compelled to work from home all over the world. Working from home could be stressful as it is a demanding task while you are constantly worried about the future and your family's well-being at this unsettling time. Stress and work pressure might increase the craving for caffeine.

But now, the time is different. During the shutdown, our main focus is to stay healthy. Amid the shutdown, it is not a good idea to drink excessive coffee to fight exhaustion or laziness. Drinking excessive coffee can lead to caffeine crash, which is not good for our health.
What caffeine crash is?
We drink coffee to stay awake and active as caffeine stimulates the nervous system and reduce tiredness. Usually, a cup of coffee has effects our brains for at least 6 hours. However, if you experience extreme tiredness or fatigue, crankiness and headache even after consuming caffeine, then it is a sign of caffeine crash which can happen for many reasons.
These simple steps will help you avoid caffeine crash while you work home during the lock-down:
Limiting your caffeine intake throughout the day
Working from home means, sitting in front of the computer for long hours and be online to communicate with your colleagues. It requires an immense amount of concentration and focus in order to co-ordinate. It means more cups of coffee.
After drinking your first morning coffee, this situation might lead you to drinking more. And that is when you have to be careful. What we can do is, limit and spread our coffee consumption throughout the day. I know it is not easy task to do but we will have to do it to avoid caffeine crash at the end of the day.
Making sure to get an adequate amount of sleep
We are always suggested to get enough sleep by the experts. It is very important to get enough sleep during the lockdown and while working from home. If you do not get enough sleep, you will feel fatigue which will lead to consuming more cups of caffeine, casing caffeine crash.
Starting the day with an adequate amount of sleep will help prevent having a caffeine crash.
Drinking enough water
I cannot stress enough how much it is important to drink plenty of water during this lockdown. Drinking water in the morning or throughout the day every 15 minutes will help you avoid both-getting the corona virus reaching your stomach and caffeine crash.
Drinking water also prevents headaches and keeps you hydrated.
