Art in the time of Corona: a global competition by ICCR
The artworks can be submitted in both paintings and digital work form.
The world is at present in the grip of the Coronavirus pandemic and people are people are panicked. To help people deal with this massive emotional trauma, The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has announced a universal art competition named Art in the Time of Corona: United against Corona- Express through Art.
The competition aims at showcasing the best expressions of amateur and professional artists from India and the world over. The artworks can be submitted in both paintings and digital work form. The expressions are categorized in four forms - Contemporary Art, Folk and Tribal Art, Cartoons and Illustrations, Digital and New Age Art.
Global participants can register their entry through three categories along with Indian residents - Foreign Professional Artists, Amateur Artists (global citizen) and Children and Students (below age 21). The best of the artworks will be exhibited in leading galleries in India and abroad along with an online exhibition.
Participants have been requested to send high resolution photos of their work to ICCR from April 2 to -May 1, 2020. The evaluation of entries and shortlists will be announced by May 20. Selected works will be asked to be couriered once the lockdown in called off. The Grand finale will be held in New Delhi with a cultural function and a prize giving ceremony.
