Shapla Media to produce 100 movies this year
The program also completed the inauguration ceremony of 15 films
Popular movie house Shapla Media has announced that they will produce 100 movies this year.
Selim Khan, proprietor and director announced the news through a press conference at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) yesterday.
He announced that the movies will be directed by 100 directors and that the decision will be taken via lottery.
The program also completed the inauguration ceremony of 15 films and that the shooting of these movies will begin from 22 February.
Filmmakers Shahin Sumon and Apurba Rana will work as coordinators for the 100 movies.
"These 100 movies will be directed by the very talented directors of BFDC," said Sumon.
"We have also finalised the plot, directors and artists for the 15 movies. The production of the movies will start this month," he added.
Rana said most of the time the production of a movie is merely limited to the inauguration ceremony and barely go into the shooting phase.
"Together we have joined forces to work on this long period project which will require lots of hard work and dedication. As a lot of directors will be involved in the project, the shooting expenses will be reduced for the directors," he added.
The 15 films will showcase popular heroines such as Keya, Achol, Bipasha Kabir, Misty Jannat, Farin Khan, Afri, Shakila, Tanha Tasnia among others.
The movies will also showcase noted actors such as Nirab Hossain, Saif Khan, Sumit Sengupta, Shipan Mitra, Joy Chowdhury, Kayes Arzu and Amaan Reza and many more.
Earlier on, Shapla Media house released the popular movie "Shahenshah" starring Shakib Khan. The media house awaits the release of their upcoming movies starring Dev in Commando, Shakib Khan's Bidrohi and Shanto Khan's Bikkhov among others.
