5 skulls stolen from graves in Munshiganj

Five skulls have been stolen from separate graves in a graveyard in Sreenagar, Munshiganj.
The crime came to light this morning (14 February) when locals went to clean the graveyard in observance of Shab-e-Barat.
According to Abul Kalam Kanan, president of the Purbo Bejgaon Cemetery committee, Muslims in the area usually visit the cemetery on the night of Shab-e-Barat to pay respects to the deceased.
However, when they arrived at around 9am to clean the area, they found five graves dug up and the skulls missing. They immediately informed other locals about the situation.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Srinagar Circle) Anisur Rahman stated that after receiving the report from the graveyard committee, police arrived at the scene around 10:30am.
Upon inspection, they confirmed that five graves had been disturbed and the skulls removed. Authorities suspect that the theft took place in the dark of night.
The incident has caused shock and concern among the local community, and police are investigating to identify the perpetrators.
