Web series Bagh Bondi Shingho Bondi launches today
The five short films in the series have been made to portray the real picture of the social and humanitarian catastrophe during the pandemic created by five prominent directors of the country
Binge, an online streaming platform, is set to launch the five-episode series, Bagh Bondi Shingho Bondi, on Thursday. In each episode, storytellers share anecdotes of diverse experiences people have faced during the time of the coronavirus pandemic, read a press release.
The first episode of the series – Jatri – is based on the story of a coronavirus infected patient being socially isolated. The drama is directed by Giasuddin Selim.
The story unfolds with a security guard named 'Moti,' aged 60, who is a likable person and does everything with a smile on his face. But, when he contracts the virus, everyone shuns him. The apartment committee decides to send Moti to the hospital.
However, the ambulance driver Hasan who is assigned to take Moti to the hospital feels pity for him and keeps Moti in his mess. The rest of the story shows a bond between Hasan and Moti which, however, leads to a tragic and heartbreaking end.
Chanchal Chowdhury played the role of the protagonist 'Moti' in the short film. The episode also stars Shyamal Mawla, Ramisha Neela, Ahsanul Haque Minu, and a few others.
Among the other four short films in the series, Animesh Aich's 'Mukh Asman' will air on October 5, Nurul Alam Atik's 'Nishiddha Bashar' on October 9, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury's 'Esho Boshe Ekshathe Khai' on October 13, and Abu Shahed Emon's 'Arai Mon Shapno' on October 17.
