Emon harbours hopes of playing for the Tigers

Parvez Hossain Emon, one of the key members of the World Cup-winning under-19 team, has said that wants to progress step by step and eventually don the Bangladesh jersey.
Emon played a courageous knock of 47 in the final against India despite being injured. The stylish stroke maker played for the Najmul XI in the recently concluded BCB President's Cup. Despite not having a good time with the bat, it was a good learning curve for the youngster.
Emon is one of the 12 players of the World Cup-winning side to be called up to the High Performance (HP) camp. "It's great to be here. Of course, things are a lot different than the under-19 days. The new coach (Toby Radford) has been teaching us some new technical things. These will help us going forward," he said.

Emon has the desire to move forward step by step and eventually play for Bangladesh. "I obviously have the desire to play for the country. I am trying to progress step by step. After HP team, I'll try to make his way into the A team."
The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman mentioned that he has been working on his batting and wicketkeeping techniques: "I have been working on my batting. I have also been working on my keeping with Murtaza Sir (Golam Murtaza). I'm also trying to fine-tune the technique with the help of the new coach."
The southpaw also mentioned that he has been preparing himself for the intra-squad games in the HP camp and not thinking too far ahead.
