Pabna newspaper editor sued under Digital Security Act
A case has been filed against KM Belal Hossain Shwapan, editor of Saptahik Somoy-Osomoy and president of Chatmohar Reporters' Unity, under the Digital Security Act over a Facebook post.
"Members of Detective Branch of Police (DB) on Saturday arrested Belal, who is also the president of Chatmohar Traders' Association, from Shahi Mosque intersection of Chatmohar municipal sadar," Tozammel Haque, officer-in-charge of Pabna DB police told The Business Standard.
"Councillor Raz Ali from the municipality's ward-4 filed the case on Friday night after Belal gave a Facebook post against him surrounding a woman," Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Chatmohar police station said.
