Two critically injured in bear attack arrive in Ctg by army helicopter
They are currently undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital
Bangladesh Army transported two individuals of the Murang tribal community – who were critically injured after being attacked by a bear – to Chattogram Cantonment, by helicopter, for treatment on Friday.
The injured are Mongolio Murang (7) and Yang Wai Murang (48). They both live in Bandarban's Chimbukpara.
They are currently undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Ring Rang Rao Murang, father of the injured Mongolio Murang, said that on Friday morning, Mongolio was playing near Chimbukpara Forest when, suddenly, a ferocious bear attacked him. When his grandfather Yang Wai Murang came forward to help Mongolio, the bear injured both of them severely.
They were then taken to a nearby army camp and later to Chattogram Cantonment by helicopter with the help of the Armed Forces Division and 24th Infantry Division.
Major General Saiful Abedin, GOC of the 24th Infantry Division said that after hearing about the incident, he immediately ordered that the two injured be brought to Chattogram Cantonment for better treatment. Following the order, the Air Force helicopter brought the injured to Chattogram at around 2.30pm.
Ring Rang Rao Murang said, "We are grateful to the army for ensuring better treatment of my son and father."
"It takes around five hours, walking, to reach the main road from the village where we live. And, it would not have been possible for my father and child to receive treatment without the army's help," he added.
