Water vessel operations resume
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) resumed the operations of all types of water vessels from Friday.
One-engine launches have also been allowed to operate with caution.
Earlier on Tuesday, the BIWTA suspended all passenger vessel traffic on river routes to curb damage from the cyclone Yaas. The ban on two-engine boats was lifted from 12 noon on Thursday, read a press release issued by BIWTA.
The government had suspended the launch operations along with other long-haul transport services to curb the spike in coronavirus infections from 5 April.
