“Growing orders and sales volume helped us opening the new outlet today”
Domino's, the world's largest pizza chain, responding to the growing demand in Bangladesh has opened its third outlet in city's Banani area.
Domino's regional head Satender Singh along with its high officials of its Bangladeshi operator were present at an inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday.
"Growing orders and sales volume helped us opening the new outlet today," Nirmal Chandra Sarder, Company Secretary of Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd (GHAIL), the local partner of Domino's told the Business Standard.
"The first Domino's restaurant, opened in February 2019 had a world record for the brand in terms of sales and that inspired the international fast food brand to expand its reach here," Nirmal said.
Domino's, is an American multinational pizza restaurant chain founded in 1960. Its mother company Domino's Pizza Inc, listed with the New York Stock Exchange posted a global revenue around $3.5 billion thanks to its franchisees across the world.
A GHAIL concern, Golden Harvest QSR Ltd in partnership with Jubilant Foodworks Limited (The regional franchisee of Domino's) are operating the business in Bangladesh.
GHAIL, listed with both the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange is also expecting a jump in added revenue and profitability from its minority shares in the pizza business.
The company is also expanding in agricultural and food products business fields that include cold chain, ice cream, dairy, ready to instantly cook foods and even confectionaries.
After the first store in Dhanmondi area of the capital, they opened the second Domino's at Uttara area in Dhaka on September 27, 2019. With the burgeoning middle class and a rapid urbanization, Bangladesh is rapidly growing as a market for such products.
