Four women receive ‘Radhuni Kirtimoni Shommanona 2019’

Four women have been honored with "Radhuni Kirtimoni Shommanona 2019" for their impactful roles in their respective fields of profession.
Marking International Women's Day, the event was held at the ball room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in Dhaka on March 7, 2020.
The award is given every year by the brand "Radhuni" of Square Food and Beverage Limited to women with exceptional achievements in the fields of journalism, social welfare, sports and entrepreneurship.
The awardees are Merina Lovely, a veteran journalist from Dhaka for her investigative reports on different problems arising in Rangpur and raising her voice for underprivileged communities. Aleya Begum, a social activist from Rajshahi working to provide medical help for people of poor health. Wahida Khanam, an entrepreneur from Rajshahi working for rehabilitation of children with special needs over a decade. Sabina Khatun, for her contribution in female cricket of the country and for being the first woman cricketer to play in a foreign cricket club.
The Editor of the Daily Kaler Kantho Imdadul Haq Milan, Bangladesh National Cricket Team's Selector and former captain Habibul Bashar Sumon, Chairperson of Acid Survivors Foundation Bangladesh Advocate Fawzia Karim Firoze and technology related company Gigatech Limited's Managing Director and the Director of Team Engine Samira Zuberi Himika were invited as special guests at the event.
