Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company distributes relief among 3,000 families
The relief distribution programme was a part of BIFPCL’s community development and CSR activities
Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (BIFPCL) has distributed food items and daily essentials among 3,000 families in Rampal and Mongla upazilas of Bagerhat district.
Khulna City Corporation mayor Talukdar Abdul Khalequeon Saturday distributed those essentials among the villagers of 11 unions in the two upazilas.
The relief distribution programme was a part of BIFPCL's community development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
Under the programme, each family has received 10 kilogrammes of rice, 2 kilogrammes of potatoes, 1 kilogramme of lentils, 1kilogramme onion, 1litre edible oil, 1 kilogramme salt and one piece of soap.
Mayor Khaleque, as chief guest, said Rampal power plant was with the local community in every crisis period from its inception.
He lauded CSR and community development activities of the company also hoped that these sorts of activities would be enhanced further.
