Sheikh Russel's Pedro Henrique lodges complaint to Fifa
Oliveira has made use of the 'just cause' in his contract with Sheikh Russel and has lodged a complaint to Fifa. And as per reports, Fifa has taken matters seriously.
The Covid-19 pandemic hit the Bangladeshi footballing arena hard as the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) was abandoned. Many clubs have faced a difficult situation as they could not pay their players and one of them is Sheikh Russel KC. And now, this stalemate has reached Fifa.
Sheikh Russel could not pay their East Timorese recruit, Pedro Henrique Oliveira his due salary for two consecutive months. It is mentioned in their contract that if a club fails to pay a player for two months consecutively, then the player can avail the 'Just cause' in the contract and file a complaint to avail compensation.
Oliveira has made use of that and has lodged a complaint to Fifa. And as per reports, Fifa has taken matters seriously.
The term 'Just cause' refers to the exceptions or circumstances recognised under Fifa Regulations and previous Decisions, that may allow a club or player terminate the employment contract between them, without any punishment or consequence.
Pedro played four games for Sheikh Russel this season, scoring one goal in BPL.
