Tamim to captain Bangladesh in pursuit of U-19 Asia Cup retention

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup on Thursday, as the team sets its sights on defending their title in this year's tournament.

Azizul Hakim Tamim has been named captain of the 14-member squad, with four additional players included as reserves. Bangladesh are placed in Group A alongside Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, while Group B features India, Pakistan, Japan, and the UAE.
Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in their opening game on 29 November, followed by matches against Nepal on 1 December and Sri Lanka on 3 December. All matches will be held in the UAE, with games split between Dubai and Sharjah as part of the tournament's 15-match schedule.
The Bangladesh Under-19 team will depart for the UAE on 24 November and are set to play a warm-up match against India in Sharjah on 26 November.
